This is the first time ever writing a letter so here we go I know the economy is taking a toll on all of us but I am hoping to see you in concert again or looking to hear new and exciting music in the near future. So I am saving all my bucks for that big day when you will visit us here on the East coats The New York and Washington DC area. Have a great holidays to you and your family and let's make 2010 a big year for all of us and thanks for allowing me to be your biggest fan of all times. Have good one (Cliff Summers Balto Md.)

AUGUST 13,1983 AT JOE LOUIS ARENA, I SAT 5 ROWS FROM THE STAGE ON THE AISLE. YOU ASKED IF ANYONE WANTED TO COME UP AND DANCE. I JUMPED UP WENT TO THE ROPE YOU SAID COME ON UP. WHEN THE USHER OPENED THE ROPE, A GUY SITTING FARTHER BEHIND ME RAN UP ON THE STAGE. I THOUGHT WOW I HAVE WAITED FOR SO LONG TO GET THIS CLOSE. HOW DISAPPOINTING. WELL, YOU SAID TURN THE HOUSE LIGHTS UP I AM COMING OUT THERE AND YOU DID, RIGHT TO MY SEAT AND ASKED IF I WANTED TO DANCE, THE SONG WAS UPSIDE DOWN AND I DANCED AND YOU SAID TAKE OFF THAT COAT...WELL I TOOK MY COAT OFF PULLED MY SHIRT OUT OF MY PANTS AND TURNED ROUND AND ROUND. NEEDLESS TO SAY, WHEN YOU WALKED AWAY FROM ME WITH THAT ORANGE BEADED JUMPSUIT ON YOU BLEW ME A KISS AND AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, I SWOONED. TO TOP IT OFF MY BELOVED LATE BEST FRIEND, JOCELYN, GOT MARRIED AND I WAS EXCUSED FROM THE WEDDING BECAUSE OF MY TICKET PURCHASE FOR THE CONCERT. WHEN SHE FOUND OUT I DANCED WITH DIANA ROSS, SHE WAS EVER SO ELATED.

Words can not express how much love, respect and pride that I have for you Ms. Ross!! When Oprah said what she did in your first interview with her about how she saw you on the Ed Sullivan show and she wanted to be like that, I felt extreme emotion in that moment because she said exactly what I have felt and still feel about you!! You have shown me drive, glamour, beautiful music, and an excellent example of how to be the best you can be! I would like to thank you for the BEST years of my life!! You will forever be my all-time favorite entertainer.
Sincerely,

I grew up on your music. I don't think I ever missed one television performance. I became a hooked fan when I watched "Double Platinum." (Yes I am a come late fan, I watched about ten years ago but got hooked on the movie when it played recently. I watch the movie all the time now (absolutely love what you do with Olivia King). Hey I figure if you have people who got stuck on Star Trek and Somewhere In Time movies then I could get hooked on "Double Platinum.") I read your book "Secrets of a Sparrow." Thank you for sharing with your fans, I love you for it. I think it is one of the best biographies I have read. I listen to the "Best of Diana Ross," everyday on my way to work and can't wait till my copy of "Everyday is a New Day" and "I Love You," CD arrives. Please do more movies, you are a great actress as well as singer. I remember seeing you on RuPaul when you were talking about the limited roles for African Americans in the movie industry. I hope that has changed and that you will do more movies.
I hope to catch you on tour somewhere in the world soon. Love you forever !!! May God keep his eye on the "Sparrow." Pershaps you will come to Atlanta soon again :-)
Hooked!!!!

Hello Diana,
I am so looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming "Symphonica in Rosso" dates in The Netherlands in October. I am excited because I am sure it will be a new show. I have tickets for all three nights! The rumors have been rampant about what the show will encompass.
I read recently that it is possible you recorded a duet w/Laura Izibor for your next album. I am hoping that you will showcase some of your new material at the "Symphonica in Rosso" dates. I was in the audience at opening night of the "Here and Now" Tour in Poughkeepsie, NY when you preview one of my all time favorite albums, "The Force Behind the Power"....what an incredible night that was. I had so wished you had recorded that show for commercial release. At the very least, I am looking forward to "Symphonica in Rosso" being your first live concert commercial DVD/Blu-Ray release since "Christmas in Vienna". We, your fans, are starved for more of your work on DVD/Blu-Ray.
I have been a fan since the summer of 1964. I have been fortunate to be in the audience at some of your most iconic concerts including tix for "diana '81 CBS Special, Central Park, Stolen Moments, Super Concert in Budapest, the free concert for Greenwich Student Center and most recently, The Pantages. I am certain that "Symphonica in Rosso" will be yet another one of special dates.
Thank you for nearly 5 decades of your stirring, inspiring art..........it is my muse. It is my joy.
I am the better for knowing your beautiful music, movies and books.
Friend to Friend w/a Love Hangover,

Dear Miss Ross
I know you'll be a grandmother. Now that I can write to you I can't find the words. I love your music and your dvd. Your concerts on dvd are smashing. Your movies are great. It seems every time I, really deep down inside, wish for one of your old lp's to be converted to cd. It happens I'm looking forward to getting all of the Supremes on cd, too, but it's not easy to get the Supremes on cd. I don't care for the double cd pack like the Let The Sunshine In/Cream Of The Crop. I'm waiting on the single cds, but until then I'll take what i can get.

Hello,
I would like to - if I may - introduce myself....My name is Simon, I'm a 49 year old Englishman living with my partner of 34 years Howard, in Sky Valley California.
Last Christmas we had the joy of having my mother visit us from the UK, now for 87 she is in great shape however she does have dementia, so her short term memory is shot, however her long turn memory is unbelievable.
She reminded me of my 4th birthday, when she asked me what I wanted I began to sing "Baby Love." The next fond memory she told was around 1966 I was watching "The Sounds Of Motown"/Ready, Steady, Go! special, sitting in front of the huge B/W TV under your spell. As the closing credits came up, I found myself (like all little boys) excited!!!! I called out to my mother, she came in I said "Look!", she looked down and smacked me over the head with a wash cloth.
Two years pass and for my birthday once again, my parents take me to see Diana Ross and the Supremes at the Talk Of The Town, throughout the entire performance my Dad keeps telling me to stand up. "I can't!" was all I could say.
The next time I saw you live was in '72 at the Royal Albert Hall. By then I was 12 and able to control my excitement a little better.
As I said I'm now 49, and yes I still get excited (in a different way) every time I get to see you.
You've been with me my whole life, you are the soundtrack to my life and I thank you and I hope this little story from my youth brings a smile to your heart.
I wish you happiness in all you do.
Simon

I am Joshua Russell. I live in Springfield, Ohio USA. All I got to say is I love you Miss Ross, your voice and the way you sing. Keep it up. Your music has helped me through hard times, stress and down times. Everytime I hear your music it helps me. I love you Miss Ross. I cannot wait to see you again in concert. Keep it up girl. You are the Diva.

Dear Miss Ross,
It is hard to fathom that one person can provide such emotion just by being. You are that person for me. I have had some tough losses in my life and through it all, I turned to your music and lyrics. They have helped me through some very dark times and made me a much better person as a result. To this day, and I am 46 now, I turn to you when I am sad, when I am happy, and when I want or need to be reminded just how wonderful life really is.
Thank you Miss Ross for sharing your heart, your soul and your total beauty as a human being with all of us. May God bless you and always keep you in his hand.

Dear Diana:
Just a brief note to tell you how much and how long I have cherished you. There is absolutely no one who knows me who doesn't know that as fact. What a lovely thing to have had you on my life's adventure. Your presence, your style, your music has had me transfixed throughout. It has gotten me through so many rough patches, appearances and records something to look forward to and is so interwoven into my life's fabric. It has always been such a positive, loving and exciting love affair with someone so worthy of such. Seeing you live so feels like seeing the dearest of friends, friends since the days of the Latin Casino in New Jersey. It was love at first sight for the ten year old I was. My adoration of you has never dimmed or wavered. You have graced the world, certainly mine, and I am so grateful that yours is the music that has always made my heart dance. While I was at your Houston lecture, I am unable to make "Diana in Dallas." It saddens me that I am not able to be there with the Diana Ross fans but I will be anxiously awaiting the next opportunity to see you. Thank you for every joy that all of us who love you feel. My world would be considerably emptier without you.
Love,
Michael Castaldo

DIANA you know I still love you. The message in your music has made me the person that I am today, strong, confident and positive even in the most difficult of times. Your music is my mantra.
I've watched you grow as you've watched all us fans grow.
When you made fun of me during a concert; when you held my hand and sang to me; and when you watched as I sat in the front row with many members of my family as you performed on our stage here in Michigan. Many dreams come true. My love and adoration for you came full-circle that night.
And even though I am no longer as "enthusiastic" as I once was, you are still in my heart as you have been the past thirty years.
Take care and keep spreadin' love...
-Rob J. Peters

Dear Diane-
Did you get my poster I drew of you that I gave to an event staff to put backstage for you at your concert in 2002 at the Fleet Pavillion in Boston, MA? It was signed Angie Fournier and Angie Nelson now (married). Please tell me I have always wondered if you got it since. Please tell Dick so he can tell me.

Dear Diana:
I want you to know that your music has inspired me, challenged me and comforted me in ways that a book, or a friend or even a prayer cannot. When I listen to your music, it is vibrant enough to sound fresh to my ears every time; I never grow tired of your music, never. Moreover, I am transfixed by your image and acting on the screen. You’ve always said you feel very, very blessed. Thank you for paying that forward. I am blessed by you and the many talents you share.
Most sincerely,
Kurt

PS Please come back for a show in Seattle!

Dear Diana,
First of all I want to thank you for your music and your voice. For me you made a difference! You inspired me and couraged me to make certain decisions in my life.
Your music is timeless! My children also sing along with baby love, stop in the name of love and I love you more today than yesterday. It's funny to hear a three year old sing Baby love or stop in the name of love. But I love it.
I saw you perform live for many times in Holland. I even saw you perform in Boston once. Your shows have something magical, like you are singing for me alone. That's a great feeling.
I hope there will be a possibility to see you in concert once more because I would like to have that same feeling like you're singing for me alone. I hope and know that you will inspire me more and more the coming years.
like you said:"It took me a while to get there and I'm not going anywhere". I think it's a very good statement. positive and vibrent.
Once again thank you for all the inspiration you have given me!
With best regards,
Gerard from Holland

Hi Ms. Ross,
Hoping that you will remember me from the Housekeeping Department on 59th Street. You were always so nice and gracious to me during my employment there. Thank you for all the years of pleasure you have given me and countless others, through your recordings, appearances and film work. I wish you and your family everything good that life has to offer, with good health the number one priority. Again, thank you and a world of thanks to Mr. Dick Ketler for creating and maintaining this wonderful web site.
Sincerely,
Peter V.
